- There are two forges situated in this Parish. The name of them are Castleruddery and Ballinclea.
A man names Cullen was working in the forge in Castleruddery and when (when) he left a man named McGrath came and he is working on it still.
This forge is situated beside a cross-roads. The roof of it is thatched and there are two half doors on it. This man shoes horses and asses and cart wheels and he also makes all sorts of farm implements.
The forge in Ballinclea is also situated at a cross-roads. The roof is also galvanized and there are two half doors on it. The blacksmiths makes all kinds of implements, and gates. He also shoes horses and asses. There was also a forge situated in the townland of Knockanarrigan where Mr. Robert Jones lives now. A man named Dowling worked in it about thirty years ago.
