- Some of the names of the local roads are; the far road, the Connery, Kyle road and Askakeagh road. All these roads are there for hundreds of years. For a good many years they were kept in repair by one man but now they are done by Direct Labour. There is a short cut from this townsland to the nearest town called Tinahely. This path is across a hill which is locally known as the 'Black Hill'. There is also a Mass path across the fields to Killavaney Chapel. This path crosses a number of fields called the 'bottoms'. Some years ago before the bridge which leads from Ballycumber Lane to the main road was built, people had to cross the river by means of a ford.
