    So called because of its length.
    The slate-house field:
    It is so called because there was a slate -house built on it one time.
    Mullan a clo:
    This place is part of a bog and there is a big stone situated on it.
    The brook field:
    So called because a brook flows beside it.
    Berr's field:
    So called because a man by the name of Berr lived in a house which was situated on the field.
    Berr's Brook:
    So called because a man by the name of Berr lived in a house which was situated beside a brook.

  2. Carrignameil: This is the name of the townland in which I live. It gets its name from a large rock situated on the top of this mountain.
    On my home farm there are a number of fields.
