Frightened out of his life the tailor gave the child the fiddle and he took an' he played jigs reels and hornpipes an' all kinds o' music for hours an' hours till it was near time for the farmer to be comin' home. Then the child gave the fiddle to the tailor and tould him to put it up.
"Get out o' this house" says the child when the people came home and never come around this part of the country again for if ye do my people the fairies'll kill ye. Then the child lay back in his cleevaun and set up his cryin' as before.
