- Drumlane round tower was used for two purposes as a belfry and a hiding place from the Danes. It is said that the monks built the first part of the round tower and at night the angles came and built the rest. The tower has two windows and a door. There is a cock and a hen coffin and also a honey comb cut out on the tower and there is no story told about them. Some people say that the bell was thrown in to the lake and it rings every seven years and if two white horses without a black hair in their tails were got it could be taken out. There is also a monastery which the monks used to teach in people from all of Ireland used to come to be taught in it.
