The most harmless weeds are, the dandelion, the crow foot and the clover.

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
"Dandelion" is used by pounding it with a beetle and steeping it for one night and putting it in bottles for a while and then it is taken. "Broom" is boiled in water and then strained and put in bottle for an hour or two and then taken.
"Blue bells" are used by pounding them and mixing them with linseed meal to make a poultice. "Ferns" are used by pounding them on a flag and putting them in a tub and putting water on them and then straining the water off them and giving it to cattle.
"Tops of whins are used by pounding them and giving them dry with a handful of oats in the morning to horses.
These herbs were used as medicine in former times. They were used for man and beast. "Woad" was used for dying clothes long ago, but is not used nowadays. The sufferes were relieved and many of them were cured with these herbs.
