- Once there was a man who wanted to see a ghost.
He met a man who had an out lying house and farm. The house was haunted. The owner said he would give it to this adventurer if he could live in it. He said that there was plenty of food in it.
About twelve o'clock the man put on the pan to fry bacon and a big black man came in with a piece of hairy bacon and put it on the pan. The man took it off and threw it in the ashes. Again and again the man put it back on the pan.
