- In olden times the people used to eat three times aday the breakfast, Dinner, and supper.
The people used to get up early in the morning and go out to work in the field before they would eat anything.
The breakfast consisted of Oaten porridge and butter milk and the dinner was potatoes and salt and buttermilk and porridge for the Supper.
The people got around the table it placed near the wall.
The bread that was eaten long ago was oaten bread it was made from oaten meal wet with water and placed near the fire to bake. Meat was seldom eaten.
At Christmas they would have meat to eat and at Easter they would eat eggs.
