When the children come home from church they light fires and boil eggs and every child is competing to see who will eat the most eggs. On Easter Sunday morning the sun is believed to dance. Whit Sunday used to be called white Sunday and it is supposed to be very lucky to wear anything new on Whit or Whit Monday. It is also very unlucky to go on water for a sail on a boat.
The first of April is called "all fools day". On this day people make a fool of each other as like sending someone to a neighbours house for a round square and that person sends the fool further and of course there is not such a thing and when they come back and they say that nobody has a round square and then they shout "April fool" at the person.- Bailitheoir
