  2. There was a pedlar living in the town olf Ballyjamesduff known as "Scottie".
    His real name was Bill Newlands and he came from Scotland. He used to go about on foot in the county of Cavan, selling small articles such as; pins, studs, watches, and pictures.
    The people of the county liked him well and they used to buy his articles, because he used to tell them stories about
