One evening when a man was bringing his cows home he heard someone crying. When he was passing the fort he heard a vice saying, "don't be crying the cows are going home and you will soon have milk.
The man ordered the servant not to spill the milk, but when the servant was going from the byre he stumbled on a piece of wire and spilled the pail of milk. This milk is supposed to have gone to the fairies.
There is a fort in the townland of Cornaslieve in the lands of Phil Clarke. It is called a cátháir. It is circular in shape. There is a ditch about twelve feet high all around it, and there are bushes growing on top of it. It is said that it was in it the Danes used to hide.
