- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)of 1936. The lightening killed and injured a lot of men and cattle. Two men who lived about 4 miles from here took shelter in a stack of wheat. The lightening set the stack of wheat on fire and it burned the two men. They were taken to hospital but died in a few days later. In this same storm there was a man sitting at the fire. He had just taken his tea and he still had his mug in his hand. The lightening struck the chimney of the house, and the force of it knocked the mug out of his hand.
There was a very heavy snow storm five years ago. There were about four feet of snow on the ground and five or six in old hollows. There were plenty of sheep and cattle lost in the snow. There were men pulling hay at a hay-rick and they were found lying dead at the rick. There were plenty of cars stuck in the snow.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
