- One time not long ago there was a man and he was very poor, he was not able to pay his bills. One night he was coming home from Mullagh and he met an old lady. She told him to get up before sunrise the next morning and go to the fort and dig and dig until he would come to the gold. She told him to tell nobody at all, so he got up and went to the fort the next morning before the sun rise. He dug and dug until he meet the gold. He went home and told nobody. He bought cattle and paid his debts. After a long time he told his mother. When his mother was dying she was raving and she told the secret so that is the way the people got to know it. The cattle that he bought with the money throve greatly and now he is the richest man in his townland. He has a lot of stock now and they are all well, so they say that fairy money is very lucky.
