- Clerkin's Fort, AnnagloughSometimes the Fairy forts are called "raths".
This fort is called Clerkins fort in the townland of Annaglough.
There is another fort which you could see from it in the townland of Bindoo.
This fort is of a circular shape.
There is a fence around it of earth and stone and a few lone bushes.
There is an entrance-hole on the side of it but it now closed up.
Nobody has ever gone down into it, that I know off.
It is not known who built it but it is supposed that the Danes built fairy forts.
It is always said that the fairies had their homes in these forts under the ground.
There were no cats or animals seen in or near this for that I know off.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
