    The heath covered mountains I'll travel again,
    For there's no place on earth seems to me so delicious as to meet my dear friends near the old Tanyard lane.

    That rough winding roadway 'twas newly gravelled,
    With the loving companions I'll ne'er again meet,
    When youth truds to school as it was newly gravelled,
    How lightly we'd trod then to save our bare feet.
