    Once upon a time there lived a Druma- hills, a downland in the parish of Kill, an old family called the Rowans.
    They owned a large number of cows which afforded plenty of milk for churning. This was done once or twice a week and it happened to be lucky for some time. But this did not continue.
    An old woman called Gibson who lived in Retrusson and who was supposed to be able to work magic heard of it.
    Mickey Rowan was working in the bog one day and he had butter with him in a cup.
    When he was coming home he met the woman on the road. She knew he met the woman on the road. She knew he had no other vessel and she asked him for a drink, not because she was thirsty but because she wanted to get the taste of the butter. He gave her a drink and for many years after he could get no butter when he was churning.
    He went to the Priest but he could do
