This gentleman I'd have you know,
Resided long in Cavan,
And for the gallant deed he done,
Sent orange bigots raving.
And worse by far the upstarts clowns
Both ignorant and greedy,
Who had the brazen face of brass,

And told them to begone then,
She chased them in disgrace away,
And closed the door upon them.

Was "Head" the silly bo-man
He thought to keep her still astray.
The louzy rotton showman.

From all his temptations
She renounced him and his church
That stands without foundation
