If a person sowed any vegetables on a Sunday they would never grow.
Long ago pedlars were very plentiful in this district especially in the Summer Time. They used to come around to the houses gathering rags and in exchange they gave needles or hairpins.
Hucksters were also very plentiful and they had shops and the money they got for their goods they put into a purse around their necks and that was called the huckster's(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
