Oh. we can't, says the querns, we are standing on our heads and we can't stir. Then they called the pothooks but the pothooks said I'm hanging over the fire and I can't stir or the pot will fall. With that they let a terrible screech and they went off like a blaze of fire to the far hills.
    When they went the woman went up to the room but there was no sign of anyone and the hags never troubled her again.
    Another ending is that when the pothooks refused to help the hags looked across towards the hill and shouted "Práisce our house is on fire" and then disappeared.
