- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)a good many tenant's houses in the townland but, the young people who lived in them emigrated to America any and other countries. Then, as the old people died the houses were left idle and through time fell. The townland is not mentioned in any song or old saying.
The land is not hilly or boggy but it is very good. There is a wood growing there which is about a quarter of a mile long. It is not known by any special name.
There are no lakes or streams in the townland, but the Yellow Ford runs through one end of it, and Clonmore river through the other. - The name of my townland is the Hill of Ward, Athboy, in the barony(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
