- In ancient times clothes were made in the following manner.
The farmer used to keep a big flock of sheep and used to take off the wool and send it to the mill to be carded. When the wool was returned, the farmer's wife would get the spinning wheel and make thread out of the wool.
When the farmer required a suit of clothes he would send for a tailor. The tailor would come to the farmer's house at once with all his sewing implements and would set to work quickly. While he was making the suit of clothes he was kept in the farmer's house. He charged very little money.- Bailitheoir
