- There was gold "hid" in a fort in Miko Keating's land in Tullabrack. Three men went looking for it and when they had the stone "risen" up a bull came and frightened them away. In the course of years three different men came and found the gold.My father said that he saw the place in Lios an Tuah (an tuaighe, nó na tuaithe) in Carhu where gold was dug out of. Three men from Clohanemore came and dug the gold out of it. Their names were John Mullins, Michael Crotty and Michael Nash.
My father also said that his grandmother told him that there was gold "hid" near Thomas Hennessy's gate on the road leading from Doonbeg to Caherfenick.- Bailitheoir

- My brother Sinon Collins, Shragh, told me that he heard that there is gold hidden at the back of John O'Dea's house, in a field near the river. There is a turkey cock minding this gold and when anybody goes near it, the turkey cock cuts two drains along the field with his wings. He "starts " from the river.
