This part of our parish is nearer for the Annaghneal people to go to mass on Sunday and they continue doing so still. They never came to Bodyke except to pay the priest and All Souls Day.
Biddy's appearance was not very attractive.
She said she was ugly and had two small red eyes.
The people used to bring her whiskey as payment for what she did.
I heard she always had a finger tied up in a cloth. People said she had given a limb of it to the devil.
The old house was made of mud walls and a thatched roof. I remember to have seen it. When I was young I always felt nervous passing by the old house.
She was repentant before death and is buried in Feakle Churchyard.
People said she had a magic bottle and when she looked at it she saw a coffin. If the coffin was on end, the person would recover and if across, he would die.
