The Wild Geese migrate in Summer when the weather it too warm and they go to a colder country.
The Wren and the Sparrow build their nests in house eaves. All the rest except the Curlew, the Red Shanks and the Ball Cute build their nests in bushes but the water birds build their nests in rushes beside the water. It is said that if boys rob birds nests the bird will be cursing them.
When the curlew is whistling it is a sign of storm. When the swallows are flying low it is a sign of rain.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
