    Local Marriage Customs
    Marriages take place mostly in Sept. and Nov. in my district. The unlucky days for getting married are Friday and Saturday. It is unlucky too get married in Shrove.
    There are some matches made in our district.
    Money is given as dowry to farmers' sons who have big tracts of land. Stock and goods were given to
