1. The Story of the Búisín Beacht

   Away among the hills of Gardenturton stand the remains of an old house about which the following story is told -
   In the house of the Búisín Beacht many, many years ago there lived two brothers and a sister, fine and healthy. They all worked hard, the two men in the garden, while the sister gathered eggs from the poor people that lived in the mountain and bogs; then she would take them to the city or town on Saturdays and would make a little profit. So the three managed to live nice and comfortable in the little place for a good many years.
   At last a strange change was noticed in the younger brother; he began to fade away day by day. When the others noticed him getting strange and silent they were greatly alarmed and they talked together as to what was best to do, and how they could cheer him up so that he would be bright and happy and like himself once more, but all they could do was no use.
   One night as they sat by the fire they heard a sound as of horses galloping outside their little dwelling. To their surprise the young brother got up from his seat and spoke out loud. He said "I must go now, don't wait up for me." The elder brother went to stop him at the door but the young man got to powerful for him and
