  1. There are fairy forts in the school district ( Ballyglass Co [?] .) They are called forts. They are within view of each another. They are circular in shape. There is a fence of earth with trees on the top around each.
    Fairies were supposed to live in them. People do not plough or plant in these forts for it is supposed to be unlucky to interfere with them.
    The bushes which surround them are never cut or disturbed.
