  1. Palm is hung behind a rafter in memory of Our Lord when the Jews threw it on the road for Our Lord to walk on. On St. Brigid's day a cross is woven from rushes. It is hung behind a rafter in an outhouse and it is said it is very lucky. The size of St. Brigid's is about one foot.
    A horse shoe is covered with bright silver paper and it is hung behind a door.
    It is made out of iron and it is generally made by a blacksmith.
    Long ago people used to go to Knock, and bring a stone and cement. The used to say that the stone and cement was very holy.
