  1. Every boy and many girls find amusements in spare time in making toys. In this district girls string flowers together in a chain or girdle. They make these with wild-roses or daisises. They also make dolls and this is how they make them. They get old clothes and make them into the shape of a doll. Then they dress the doll nicely and fix her into a little box.
    When the girls are making necklaces they get daisies and pull the stems off them; then they run a thread through the centre of the daisies and make a necklace of them.
    Boys make tops from thread-spools. They cut the spool into the shape of a top and make it spin with a piece of cord. They make guns
