    During the Penal days the Irish people suffered much hardship.
    They were not allowed to hear mass in the churches and many Priests and Bishops had to leave the Country.
    A small number of Priests were registered and only these were allowed to stay.
    These Priests had much hardship to endure, if they were caught reading mass they would be put
