  1. Saint John's Night is kept much different now-a-days to what it used to be kept long ago.
    On Saint John's Night long ago all the people of each village used to gather together and they used to make a big bonfire in honour of Saint John.
    While some of the boys used to be making the bonfire others used to be gathering money for loaves and the rest used to milk the cows and the goats.
    When the loaves used to be bought and the milk used (?) be boiled they used to put the loaves in it and then they used to feast together.
