  1. Old Stories.
    A smith, the name of Hunt, lived in Knockrawer, Bunninadden, Co.Sligo. He was a very kind-hearted obliging man, but very fond of rambling. He was very anxious to travel Ireland.
    One night when he was coming from rambling he met a fairy, leading his horse, which had lost a shoe. The fairy asked him to shoe his horse. The smith did so and when he was finished, the fairy told him he could have one wish. The smith said that he would like to travel Ireland.
    The fairy told him that any night he would go out after twelve-o'clock and pull any
