  1. Birds are very plentiful in this distrct. Our most common birds are:- the thrush, blackbird, robin, gold-finch, wren, grey linnet, green linnet, bull-finch, grey-finch, tom-tit, blue buntie, wagtail, hedge sparrow, pigeon, rook, jackdaw, house sparrow, crow, seagull, pheasant, wild-duck, crane, swan, curlew, lapwing, snipe, grouse, partridge, lark, owl and magpie.
    The Thrush.
    The thrush usually builds her nest on a hedge but sometimes she builds it in a palm tree or fir.
