  1. Churning
    I have a churn at home, which is about two feet high and one foot in width. It is about twenty years old. If any people come in while the people of the house are churning, they take a "dreas" for fear they would take the butter with them. If a person comes in for a coal during the churning he will not get it unless he brings a sod of turf with him and outs it one the fire before he takes the coal.
