    My father told mé this story, that one night a man was coming home from Swinford to the townland of Donntas. When he came to "Teaca Móp" in the townland of Carramore, A a forge came before him on the road. The man in charge of the forge put him blowing the fire and he got hot. At last the man in charge put a pan of fire before his face and he closed his eyes because he thought he was burned. When he opened his eyes the road was before him.
    Long ago there were a lot of people visiting in James [?] house. This house was situated in Doonmaynot but it is a ruin. The people that were visiting were dancing and singing and
