    Old weavers had a cure for a strained hand or foot. When you would go to the weaver you must not ask the thread off him but tell your ailment to him and he will give you a thread to put around your hand or foot to make it better again. Mick Madden, Breaffy used to give threads. Pat Mullen, Currower used also give threads. Pat Duncan Creggan got cured from a sore foot by one of these threads.
    Jimmy Neary Breaffy could cure you from worms. First he would put a good few knots on a good long string. Then he would hide
