On St. Martin’s Day they always had some kind of fowl for the dinner. They used to have a special tea on November’s night. They used to have a big feast on Christmas Eve. They always had a goose for the dinner on Christmas Day. They used mugs or saucepans which were called porringers to drink from long ago.
