    The “corn-marigold” is another very troublesome weed. It usually grows in the corn-field and its seeds […] hidden for years until they are turned up by the plough.
    Among the other trouble-some weeds are the nettle, the colt’s foot and the yarrow. The nettle although troublesome was once used for a cure for coughs and the colts [sic] foot was used for a cure for chest complaints.
    The juice of the yarrow were formerly thought to cure tooth-
