  1. There are two Holy Wells in our Parish of Aghagower. Saint Anne’s Well is in Cushin and Saint Patrick’s Well is in Aghagower. People visit St. Anne’s Well in the summer and also in the Autumn.
    A station is performed there thus: On the rock people say seven Our Fathers, seven Hail Mary’s, seven Glory’s and the Creed. Then they creep from the rock down to the gate and they say five Our Fathers and five Hail Mary’s. Then they get seven stones and go round the well outside seven times and drop a stone each time. When this is done they wash their feet in a river near by. They creep then from the gate into the well and go round it three times and each time they say one Our Father and
