- In every district in Ireland two days are kept for churning and washing. As the grazing of cattle is in every locality in Ireland. And therefore live stock is kept cows sheep and horses. From the cows is got milk is made the "Golden butter" we see. The process by which is churning. The are various kinds of churns - Machine churn, Barrel churn, and old Dash churn.The old dash churn is seldom used but they are kept in the houses for a keep sake.
