- (continued from previous page)beeches on the left of the 15th Fairway. Moreover in Hermitage's belt of woodland from the 3rd to the 12th tees, there is more than one petrifying spring. Indeed it is probable that the entire district from Hermitage to Lucan contains springs either undiscovered or long since forgotten. Even today the Spas and "Boiling Springs" have medicinal value equal to those of many well-known english and continental resorts.
