    A Song.
    The Abha na Séad.
    My boyhood days come back again,
    The days when as a lad,
    I waited for the Summer rain,
    To fish the Abha na Séad
    I started out with stick and pin,
    I couldn't buy a hook,
    But still I got my share of trout
    and brought them home to cook.

    The years went by; and fitted out
    With rod and reel and flies,
    I captured more and bigger trout,
    and told some "whooping lies."
    The Abha na Séad is a lovley stream,
    Springs up in Knock- meldown
