    Bhí gasúr ann am amháin a rabh leas-mhathair os a cheann. Bhí mac eile ag an leas-mhathair ach ní dheánfadh sé “turn” láimhe. Nuair a bhíodh dadaidh le deánamh in-áit labhairt leis, sé’n rud a shínfeadh sé fein agus a mathair a mear chuig an díleachta. Sa’ deireadh fuair an leas-mhathair bás agus lathar-na-mhárach nuair a cuireadh í cuir a leas-mac an [rann]? seo ar féin:-
    Nach tobann a thig an t-árrthughadh
    Idear indé ‘s indiu
    An Ghiolla udaí shin a mhear indé
    Seolfadh sé fein na geacha indiú.
