  1. 1. To cure a child of whooping cough put it three times under an ass's belly.
    2. The juice of stewed burrs if drunk by a person suffering form biles will cure him.
    3. Put a donkey's bridle on a child who has mumps and lead him to water and it will cure him.
    4. If laurel leaves are boiled in lard and the lard spread on a burn it will cure it and leave no scar.
    5. Ivy leaves placed in shoes will keep the feet of the wearer from sweating.
    6. The juice of the dock leaf will take away the smart from a person who has been stung by a nettle.
    7. If the seventh daughter lays her hand on a person suffering from bone disease he will be cured.
