  1. The boys make slings out of a piece of stick (shown in diagram 1.) and a square piece of rubber out a motor tube. They cut a small hole at the two sides of the rubber and tied it on the stick. Then they put a stone in the rubber and pulled it back and sling the stone.
The boys also make a spinning-jinny out of a thread spool. He cuts the middle out of the spool and gets a piece of stick and sharps the stick and sticks the stick into the side of the spool and then spinns it.
Another thing that they make, is a cart out of a box, and they put four wheels on the box, and pulls it with a string in the front of the box.
They also make snares for catching rabbits out of snare wire and a piece of sticks.
They girls string daisies chaines with daisies, also they make dools out of cloth.
