    The names of the potatoe Crops about ten or so years ago were. Champions, Tom Thumb, Roses, Brown Rocks, Skerries-blues and forty folds.
    Crops of potatoes that they set now are, Suttens, Ruby Queens, Keer Pinks, Aran Victors, Aran banners, Irish Whites, Golden Wonders.
    Pits.
    You level the ground first and put the potatoes in a row, about 3 ft high, and cover them with rushes then with clay.
