  1. There are about three holy wells in this Parish. There is one at Mamore gap near Clonmany called St Aignes for which Desertegney is called. There is another at the top of Sliab Sneact called the well of the eyes the people who visit it always leaves a rag or some other sort of relic. There is another well at the top of Fahan hill a lot of people visit it in the summer it is hard to find only there is a cross at it. There are a lot of medals, scapilers, crosses, rags, and pieces of prayer - beads at it.
