  1. In the Eastern end of the townland of Derryribbeen in my father's land there is a certain place known under its Gaelic name of "Shan Garraidhe. It is a very rough piece of land, and thus it got its name. In a place near by there lies a field locally known as the "Bogach". It was given this name, because it is a very soft wet piece of land.
    In a place near by in my grandfather's land is a place known as "Crucán a BhFeirghin" It got its name as follows
