    To see the sky black is a sign of rain.
    To see a flock of sheep running to the fence is also a sign of rain
    When a cat sits with his back to the fife is also a sign of rain
    To see a cat scratching timber is a sign of wind.
    When soot falls from the chimney it is a sign of rain.
    When swallows fly low it is a sign of rain.
    At night when the stars are very bright and it is cold its the sign of frost.
    When the peacocks cry it is the sign of rain.
    When the swallows are flying high it is the sign of good weather.
    To see cows cluster together it is the sign of rain.
    When the goats look for shelter, when the dog eats grass,
    when the spider creeps from his web, and when the distant hills are looking near, - all these are signs of rain.
    When there is a rainbow in the morning it is a bad sign of the day. When there is a rainbow in the evening it is a good sign of the night.
    When swans stay near the shore and when there are shadows in the water it is the sign of rain.
    When a crane goes up the river its the sign of rain.
    The bigger the ring around the moon the nearer to rain.
    When white birds come up from the Shannon it's a sign of bad wheather. If the roads dry quickly after rain it is the sign of wet Weather.
