  1. St. Bridgets Day:- The people put up a cross in the house in the honour of St. Bridget.
    St. Patrick's Day:- They wear a piece of shamrock because when St. Patrick came to Ireland he explained the mystery of the True Faith on a piece of shamrock.
    Shrove Tuesday:- they make a pan-cake for that night.
    Chalk-Sunday:- The young children have a piece of chalk and they chalk the unmarried people with it.
    Holy thursday:- they spend that day praying.
    Good Friday:- the people go to the chapel and they do the Stations of the Cross.
    Easter Saturday: the people don't do any work on Easter Saturday up to twelve o'clock.
    Easter Sunday: they ate more eggs than usual.
    May Day: they hang a may-pole outside the door.
    St. John's Day: the people light a bone fire on the night.
    SS. Peter and Paul: the 29th June. it is a holiday of obligation.
    15th August: the feast of the Assumption. Our Lady was taken up to heaven on that day.
    Michaelmus Day: the 26th September. The boys named
